THE COVERS: IT LIVES, IT BREATHES “CALL ME MAYBE”

Yes, we know, we blew it. You had to go through all last week without a cover song to help you get to the weekend. Us here at The Scene As We Know It sincerely apologize for the mishap. As long as we are still getting feedback for the weekly section, we are certainly going to keep providing you exemplary cover songs to help you through the rest of your grueling work week.

We can understand your discontent, so this week, we have a cover that will most likely not only hold you over till this upcoming weekend, but also for many more weeks and weekends to come. Ever since its debut, the track has been on constant rotation in various playlists over here at The Scene As We Know It. In other words, you will finally be able to comprehend the meaning of the “repeat” button once you hear the song, because that’s exactly what it’s going to be on. The ear-candy song features the outfit’s new vocalist, Kevin Lacerda, which is the former frontman of the up and coming post hardcore band, A Faylene Sky.

Alright, enough procrastination on our part, we won’t keep you waiting any longer. Here is Rhode Island’s very own, It Lives, It Breathes, with their enchanting rendition of Carly Rae Jepsen’s smash hit, “Call Me Maybe,”:
